Secret Grasp is a podcast all about the mysterious and difficult to explain aspects of life.

One of the most recognized and dangerous ouija board demon. Been around for hundreds of years, first reference might be in France. Zozo is said to be mentioned in the Dictionarre infernal by Jacques Collin de Plancy, first published in 1818. Although I wasn’t able to see it listed as one of the main demons described, unlesss it’s one of those demons under a different name. Supposedly the author tells the story of a young girl who claimed to be possessed by 3 demons named Mimi, Zozo, and Capulet.
Some people think Zozo’s origins are from ancient Sumeria or Africa, although it’s almost impossible to tell.
First Zozo will spell out its name. Zozo, zuzu, pazuzu, mama. Usually always contain a Z.
Although it will rarely identify itself upfront. Normally it’s a deceptive entity that won’t identify itself until pressed. Instead it’s likely to mimic whoever you wanted to talk to at first.
Seems to prefer females. More likely to interact with people who have depression or some kind of mental illness or physical ailment. Weaker and more easy to be possessed. Weak minded, those with psychic gifts, irreligious. Stress, grief, or other strong emotions. Young people who are more easily influenced.
Then it will typically answer questions that it’d be difficult for other people to answer, or things only you know, to prove itself to you.
Other times it’ll just spell out swear words.
Often something bad will happen shortly after contacting zozo. Mysteriously sick, hit by a car, drown
Depression, nightmares
Can predict deaths or other bad stuff that’s soon to happen. Hard to say if these were events that were going to happen anyway or if it’s causing them. People do seem to get bad luck after interacting with the entity.
Because of this, never ask when you will die.
Some say zozo could be a demon. Others think it’s a spirit that stole the name after seeing how it affected people. Or even a whole bunch of spirits using the name.

How zozo can interact with the real world:
Mirrors – make itself shown. Like I said in my ouija board rules episode, don’t have any mirrors in the room while doing a ouija session. Hope that you don’t see zozo in other mirrors around your house later on either.
Phantom noises – You might start to hear phantom banging or knocking in your house. It can be on walls, doors, coming from the attic, on your bed at night, or pretty much anywhere else.
You can also develop what would naturally be described as tinnitus, a ringing or humming noise in your ears. You might even hear voices or entire groups of voices talking.
Stuff moving on its own – Like most hauntings or poltergeist type activities. Objects flying across the room, drawers opening on their own, etc. Shadow people or seeing things out of the corner of your eye. Can make you hallucinate violent or gruesome stuff.
Possessing animals – Been known to possess pets like cats or dogs. Or it may appear as a large bird and sit outside your window seemingly watching you. Or animals might not be possessed, but just seem very scared or acting weird. Worst case it can possess people.
What to do:
Stay calm, spirits and demons feed off fear and negativity
Close out the session. Dont just take your hand off
Have a faithful Christian friend on hand to pray if things go wrong
